Forgiveness

Hey 👋🏿, Colossians 3:13 NIV [13] Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.  Forgiveness is one of the core values of the Christian journey. If you don't forgive, you're disobeying one of Jesus's instructions.  Matthew 6:15 NIV [15] But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Also seen in Mark as: Mark 11:25 NIV [25] And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”  What enabled us to inherit sonship is that the Father had to forgive you for your sins.  There is no salvation without forgiveness.  When we pray we ask God for forgiveness because sin is what caused the fall and when you've sinned you're fallen.  We all pray to be Christlike but let's not forget that Jesus forgave us our sins even when we keep nailing him to the cross almost daily by o...

Thanks again?

Hey👋🏿, This particular blog is going to be a long read but I definitely recommend that you read and digest this 🫶🏿🤍. If you really follow this blog you'd notice I touched on Thanksgiving two weeks ago but here it is once more. Why? Thanks again? If you don't understand the importance of this then you need to re-evaluate your walk with God. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 NIV [ 18] give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Like give thanks that you're alive to give thanks. Give thanks in the morning, that you can walk around, that you're alive, that you're not hooked up to any machine. Give thanks because you're glad in your heart. Give thanks even when you're mourning. Give thanks in Joy and even in pain. Give thanks when you're confused and even when you feel like asking why... Because I believe that thanksgiving is best way to begin communicating with God. We're told that when we pray we should start with T...

Make Disciples

Hey👋🏿, 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Matthew 28:19 W orshipping God doesn’t only end with living right, it also involves the important commandment of winning souls.  Winning souls doesn’t end with tract sharing, I believe the most important part is the follow up process. Discipleship means training and teaching, and that involves continuous contact and engagement.  Without following up the new convert can easily backslide because they’ve not been taught the word of God. What they need is in you. You might not have shared the tract, you might not have brought them to church but you can still be part of their salvation journey. You can be relatable, charitable or just a stepping stone in their walk with God because that’s our purpose. If you notice the early church had to designate the hospitality sections because it was a lot to handle combined with teaching it makes us unde...

Obedience to the Holy Spirit

Hey👋🏿, Listening to a recent Pastor Selman's message where he emphasized in being spiritually vibrant if you want to live a good life.  To be spiritually vibrant you have to be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.  And if you're sensitive but refuse to obey, there's no difference between you who hears and those who don't.  When the Holy Spirit instructs us, He does it for our good.  Sometimes when I have issues with what the Holy Spirit is nudging me to do I always remind myself that He won't advise me wrongly and at the end it is for my good.  There are benefits to obedience, I won't say so many because there are different instructions covering different areas and they might not be very important areas because yes the Holy Spirit is interested in even the trivial things in our lives.  But I'm sure that these instructions have great value in our walk with God. God desires our obedience and He says in His word that our obedience is greater than sac...
