The disappointment

Hey๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿฝ,

There's feeling disappointed, and then there's the feeling of being the disappointment.

Well, I'm going to be talking about the latter -  The feeling of being a disappointment. I sat down with myself this evening and had a very deep thought on it, and I came to understand that this feeling isn't something to sweep under the carpet. It doesn't just go away, and somehow it starts to shape your life.
Developing low self-esteem, setting pretty mid-level achievements for yourself because you feel you're not that type of "excellent".

So, I went looking around for write-ups on this kind of topic because I'm not an expert at dealing with it. How do we deal with feeling like a disappointment?

1. I believe we should check for the source. What's getting to you? Who is making you feel like that? It's a kind of understanding that when you want to solve something, you start from the root.
2. Who do you want to talk to about it?
Well, I recommend Jesus... it's a nice, free session with someone who can actually help and not just support your feelings.

One thing I gained from the write-up (from you version by the way) was that Jesus is there with you in that disappointment, in that feeling and that there's hope. I came to understand that the opposite of disappointment is hope. Now, you're not going to take that disappointment and let it ruminate in your life; you're going to take hope that there's something beautiful with your name on it and hold on to it like your life depends on it.

You are not a disappointment. You are a beautiful artwork of the Father; He made no mistakes about you, not before, not now, not ever. You are loved.
So what if you made mistakes; what if you're not perfect? It doesn't change the fact that the most important person in everything is concerned about everything about you.

King David, a man after God's heart, yet the father to a divided home, convicted of adultery and murder. If you're outstanded by why God, this perfect being, is interested in you, well, David beat you to that thought.

Psalms 8:4 NIV
[4] what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?

He doesn't make your concerns invalid or your fears and sadness a joke. He makes you see that there's joy, a joy that overtakes sorrow. He is going to walk you through any and everything you could be going through and feeling. Oh my, is that healing on the way? Yes, it is ๐Ÿค.

You're going to look back and see God in it. Just hold His hands and abide in Him. Let me hold your hands and let you know that what God called beautiful; good, no man can call otherwise.

Have a beautiful week; do remember to talk to your Father in Heaven.

Shalom๐Ÿ’ซ
