Surely God's goodness....
HeyππΏ,
Psalm 23:6 KJV
[6] Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: And I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
A prayer to end the Psalms of a sheep who is content with it's shepherd.
We've followed the sheep lore all the way from where he introduced the Lord as his Shepherd, told us the good and loving deeds, made us understand he had no fears or worries and that he carries an anointing that overflows from it's cup.
And now he claims the goodness and mercy of his Shepherd (some translations say, "Surely His goodness and mercy....")
We've come into the New year by God's grace and I encourage us to claim this prayer as simple as it is.
Goodness of a good God, His mercies that endureth forever.
May God's goodness and mercy follow us not just in this new year but all the days of our lives and we will dwell in the House of the Lord forever and ever, Amen.
A few verses to carry into this new year;
Habakkuk 3:18 NIV
[18] yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.
Habakkuk 3:2 NIV
[2] Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy.
Nahum 1:9 NIV
[9] Whatever they plot against the Lord he will bring to an end; trouble will not come a second time.
Jeremiah 1:19 NIV
[19] They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.
Proverbs 23:18 KJV
[18] For surely there is an end; And thine expectation shall not be cut off.
Last but not the least a verse for your new year;
Isaiah 43:18-19 NIV
[18] “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. [19] See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
Happy New Year π€π«π«π.
