The concept of Freedom

She'd prayed, fasted, read her Bible.
That was few months ago.
The fire in her could burn for two people.
But now,
She was fighting -
Laziness, priorities, fatigue.
You see, Christ had set her free
He'd cleaned her, made her new and all.
But you see,
She went back.
Came out.
Went back again.
But she could never let go of that Freedom she'd felt in Christ.
That peace knowing your burdens weren't yours anymore.
But worldly pleasure?
Her flesh couldn't get out of that.
Like an addict, 
There was freedom in front of her,
A step forward was what she just needed to do.
But she was the one holding the shackles Christ had broken off her.
She settled for the certainty of suffering than the uncertainty of freedom.
Now what hope can I write for her?
Nothing.
Because I'm not the one with the pen.
God is.
And God forbid that there's no hope for her in Christ.
She will walk in the light.
She will find the way - Christ.
Don't shun her, help her.
Because surely God's goodness and mercy shall follow her.
Because the Lord would never let the one go.
There's hope for you in Christ.
Choose Him.
Choose Life.


Deuteronomy 30:19 NIV
[19] This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live .

Romans 6:15 NIV
[15] What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means! 

Freedom doesn't mean you're not accountable to God. It means you're not under the law, you're not condemned by it.
But does it mean we will not obey the law?

Romans 13:1 NIV
[1] Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.

Titus 3:8 NIV
[8] This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.

1st Peter 2:16 NIV
[16] Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves. 

The one Christ has set free is free indeed.

Surely God's goodness....

Hey👋🏿, Psalm 23:6 KJV‬ [6] Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: And I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. A prayer to end the Psalms of a sheep who is content with it's shepherd.  We've followed the sheep lore all the way from where he introduced the Lord as his Shepherd, told us the good and loving deeds, made us understand he had no fears or worries and that he carries an anointing that overflows from it's cup.   And now he claims the goodness and mercy of his Shepherd (some translations say, "Surely His goodness and mercy....") We've come into the New year by God's grace and I encourage us to claim this prayer as simple as it is. Goodness of a good God, His mercies that endureth forever. A heart of thanksgiving

Hey👋🏿, Gratitude a key word in living a life that glorifies God.  Man was created for God's pleasure and if you're looking for purpose.. here it is.  This topic was coined from the topic treated in my church where the woman who taught took us down the memory lane and showed us the necessity of saying thank you in all situations and not just when you feel comfortable.  Someone could be going through worse.  Jesus said surely you'd have trouble in this world. I believe Thanksgiving is a child of God's approach to situations that are not exactly pleasant. Jesus said in all things give thanks. Do not be anxious for anything.
