‭Psalms 23:3a NIV‬
[3] he refreshes my soul...


Body, soul and spirit. The three parts of man. 
This sheep is pretty poetic, his writing flows from care of his body..
' he makes me to lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside still waters, he wants for nothing'...
..into letting us know that his soul also wants for nothing.

Soul food is nutrition for the soul. The OG book lovers would remember this book, ' Chicken soup for the soul'. It contained many short stories that spoke to the soul.

Why is our soul so important? Umm maybe it's because it's the decision making part of man, the state of the soul reflects on the body. 

This sheep lets us know that even in the abundance his body is enjoying, his soul is also refreshed by his shepherd. 

Shepherds are mostly lonely and could walk miles with just them and their sheep. I believe you could imagine them talking to their sheep ( I've watched farm owners literally make reality shows with their farm animals so yes talking to sheep isn't really far stretched).
 So, the sheep gets used to his voice and when they're lost, I think hearing their owner's voice helps them find their way back to him.

And what is food for the soul? 
Action and words. 
The whole internet has gone into an uproar with the introduction of love languages but yes it's very comforting to see someone show you love with their actions.
And then wordsssss! Can we talk about the beauty in words? I know the lady that was playing around with Solomon in Songs of Solomon understands this 🤏🤏.
Words are food for the soul and can be for the building up or tearing down of a person. And would you just look at what the Bible says you are?
God calls you loved.
He literally says He has loved you with an everlasting love.
The Bible tells the story of the Son of God who came to die for youuuu...
The plans He has for you ... likeeee pick your self esteem from wherever you kept it!
He called you His.
He gave you mere mortal the ability to call Him Abba.
Like imagine sheep calling the shepherd daddy.. yh pretty sus.😅
He cooked a whole dish for your soul and had it custom served in whatever language you speak.
The Bible is a soul food...  I meant the Bible is THE soul food. Read your Bible people! And if you want to hear more well then pray to your Heavenly Father 😌.

A Father that loves you? 🫢🤏🤏🤏

Surely God's goodness....

Hey👋🏿, Psalm 23:6 KJV‬ [6] Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: And I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. A prayer to end the Psalms of a sheep who is content with it's shepherd.  We've followed the sheep lore all the way from where he introduced the Lord as his Shepherd, told us the good and loving deeds, made us understand he had no fears or worries and that he carries an anointing that overflows from it's cup.   And now he claims the goodness and mercy of his Shepherd (some translations say, "Surely His goodness and mercy....") A heart of thanksgiving

Hey👋🏿, Gratitude a key word in living a life that glorifies God.  Man was created for God's pleasure and if you're looking for purpose.. here it is.  This topic was coined from the topic treated in my church where the woman who taught took us down the memory lane and showed us the necessity of saying thank you in all situations and not just when you feel comfortable.  Someone could be going through worse.  Jesus said surely you'd have trouble in this world. I believe Thanksgiving is a child of God's approach to situations that are not exactly pleasant. Jesus said in all things give thanks. Do not be anxious for anything.
