You need the Holy Spirit (1)

Happy Sunday 🤍 
Looking at 1st Corinthians 13, the Bible teaches that the greatest preacher or teacher is nothing if he doesn't have love.
This Sunday during service, we were given an assessment on love. We were to go through 1st Corinthians 13 and grade ourselves from 1 to 5 on each characteristics of love written in those verses and for me this was a practical way to test how far I've grown on Christ.
But one thing to note is that if you don't have the holy spirit, you cannot have the love of Christ . 

In 1st Thessalonians 5: 19, we are taught to quench not the spirit.
 This love you want to potray cannot work without the Holy spirit. Love is a fruit of the Spirit.
 How can you bear fruits if you don't abide in Christ?
 How can you bear fruits if you don't have the Holy Spirit?
A lot of us don't engage the spirit in our decisions and even when we do, might not even obey what was instructed. This morning I had a feeling to change what I was wearing and in my mind I was like... I look good. So why did I have to change? Got to church and I was one of probably just 5 people that wore native, it's not like I didn't enjoy the dress or looking good but it was awkward (at least in my mind). This is to give a very random example, no experience is too small to share 🙂‍↕️.
So inviting the Holy spirit into our lives is one thing that marks us as believers. Jesus instructed the disciples to stay in one place and wait to receive the Holy Spirit before they began anything, so why do you quench the instructions and the need for the Holy spirit every now and then.
Quench not the Holy Spirit and allow Him to guide you through life.
He is after all our Comforter, our counsellor, our guide and many more.

Consistency

Hey, 👋🏾  One thing a lot of successful people will tell you when asked the keys to their success is Consistency. Content creating, learning a skill and just about anything you want to do in life. So if we strive to be consistent in our money making skills knowing that it may take time and may also not work out then why do we not consider our walk with God as an every day habit. We don't take relationship with God as seriously and we give up or slack out because we're 'busy' or it's not working out the way you imagined. If you can press on in content creating despite low views or stress yourself to learn that skill that is not attracting customers the way you envision or probably it's working out for you, then pour out the same energy or more in maintaining a relationship with the Lord our Saviour. With the word

Hey, Happy Sunday 🤍... Praying..with the word. I am someone who just came to the understanding of praying with God's word. The Bible says praying in the spirit edifies the man but have you tried praying in the assurance of the word? Praying in the spirit is a very wonderful thing and goes far for you. But when you're praying for provision and you quote scriptures related to that need, I don't know for you but sometimes I will just smile and be like, "God so Gloria knows Bible verses?😌" My dear praying without knowing God's word for that situation might not be rosy. I don't have to say much about the importance of knowing God's word. The Bible is our sword and not knowing God's word is going to war without a sword... you can't win except by the grace of God.
