Grace

Hey,

He is risen.
Old things have passed away and behold all things have become new.
I read a book recently of a woman who suffered the loss of her husband and son and was left with just her daughter.
It was a Christian fiction.
One thing the woman said that stuck to my head when asked how she coped with the loss, she said she gave herself a lot of grace to herself.
Sometimes we contemplate a lot and distribute blame so easily and sometimes we're our own worst judge. And if you're like me, we don't really excuse some of our errors, upset that we didn't do better or just didn't do it well enough.
And in truth we don't even need the talking down from others because we do a good job on our own.
Forgiveness is not only to be given to others, even you deserve grace and forgiveness. This Easter let's acknowledge that the price of our salvation has been paid.

Galatians 2:21 NIV
[21] I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”

You should extend grace to yourself, you didn't perform well, encourage yourself that there's a next time and strategize how to do better.
Sometimes I know I require grace but I want to be perfect and don't want to excuse mistakes or bad behaviour from myself so I don't "abuse" grace, but acknowledging that I'm not perfect makes me realise that I need Jesus and why I need Him.

Jesus asked that does worrying add one hour to your lives. Now does judging yourself change what has already happened?

Our Lord has granted us grace, let's receive it because in truth we need it because we may not be on our best performance all the time and the times we might just slip up , let's ask for forgiveness and receive it.
Happy Easter 🀍
