Was it a Yes or No?

Hey๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿพ,
I
This Sunday we studied disappointment and doubt in Sunday school - so this is me advertising it- please wait for Sunday school, it's as important as the service because it's where you can voice your questions, speak your mind and get your questions answered.

Now in the school of life, we've come to understand that it's either a yes or no and not many maybes.

My younger brother said something that struck me, he's like sometimes in the beginning phase of our walk with God and during troubling times there are a lot of questions but not many answers.
We pray, we ask questions and we hope.
But sometimes we don't get what we prayed for and this was on a personal note for me because I recently faced a disappointment and although I had listened to podcasts on facing disappointment, my response to the issue wasn't really exemplary of someone who trusts God.
I want to believe that there's no prayer that goes unanswered, the answer to your prayer might just have been no.
Jesus said surely trouble will come. It's not going to be all rosy, we're not going to get all we want. We might not get that answer immediately or as much as we'd hate to think about the possibility- we might not get it in our generation.
During Sunday school we were encouraged to process the emotion. Don't push it down, it's broken pieces that get fixed not fragile ones. So acknowledge the pain, acknowledge it but don't forget God is still good.
God is still God. And He never fails.
Hold on to the verse that states all things are working for your good.
God is still good.
Search for the root cause of the disappointment and if it's something you can improve on please do but if not blame allocation is not the way to go.
Dear God sometimes I don't want to hear no because I've already imagined how your blessing in my life should go but Lord your will be done and not mine๐Ÿค.
