When you want to quit.

Hey πŸ‘‹πŸΏ,  So i don't have much to say except it feels like the season where you're trying to be consistent and faithful to God but still yield to your fleshly desires can be very draining and depressing. (Speaking from experience 🫠.) A very interesting opening right? One interesting lie the devil tells people who are backsliding is; " You've started, you might as well satisfy yourself before you go back to God because you know you'll just be feeling guilty right?" Yield to this voice and within minutes you'd feel like you're far gone and if not for the Godly environment you've built around you- you might just slip away in guilt until you finally kill your conscience. Then you feel isn't it easier to walk away? To stop living this life, because it feels like no matter how hard you try, it doesn't feel like there's much change in you. Well first of all, something that has been knocked into my head is that you must not base your walk wit...

Grateful πŸ«‚

Hey πŸ‘‹πŸΏ,  Good evening and Happy Sunday 🀍  Grateful for a new month and I've noticed I've not really practiced gratitude properly lately. We think gratitude is just,  "Lord thank You for waking me up this morning...", but it actually goes beyond that.  You can actually make gratitude a lifestyle. A grateful person isn't proud. A grateful person is meek  A grateful person would like to repay favours. Would love to help. Gratitude is a heart posture and a mind posture. Gratitude is very beneficial to you as a Christian. We're encouraged to think on things that are of good report, lovely and so on. A gratitude mindset literally ticks these boxes. I watched a Tiktok where a guy illustrated how you could have 999 things working for your good but the devil will be pinpointing your mind to the one thing that's probably not working the way 'you' want it. Learn to give thanks. In all things. A greedy person isn't grateful, they'll always want more...

The Father first please πŸ₯Ί

Hey πŸ‘‹πŸΏ, Hiiii everyone. Happy New month πŸ’•. Thank you for following this blog for this long and I pray the Favour of the Lord will locate you in this new month 🀍. So quick five questions for you to ask yourself: 1. Have I surrendered fully to God? 2. What does Jesus loves me mean to me? 3. How do I show the light in me to the world? 4. When last did I show God's love to someone? 5. When last did I sit in God's presence? Christianity has always been about God first.  We need the spirit to get the fruits. We need Jesus to be saved. We need the Father to be loved. That's why we stepped into this Salvation freely offered. We're called to be the light but when last did you recharge or even shine that light? Come to the Father in this new month 🀍 πŸ«‚. Welcome into this new half of seeking God more πŸ€œπŸΏπŸ€›πŸΏ. Your accountability partner in Christ, Gloria 🀍. Shalom 🌸 πŸŽ€

Lessons from Apostle Paul to the Young Believer

Hey πŸ‘‹πŸΏ, Lately I've been reading Timothy and one thing to note was how Paul kept hammering on Timothy to hold onto what Paul taught him, because according to Paul it was the true Gospel. Paul lets Timothy know that there are false teachers.  False preachers infact, people who use greed to preach, people who prey on gullible women. Paul says they are always learning but never coming to the word of truth.  2 Timothy 3:7 NIV [7] always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth.  Paul tells Timothy to hold onto this Good knowledge and not to let himself be engaged in argument of words because it ruins those who listen. (2 Timothy 2:14 NIV [14] Keep reminding God’s people of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen.) (2 Timothy 2:16 NIV [16] Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly.) So as Apostle Paul writes it to Timothy who was a y...

Victory in Christ

Hey πŸ‘‹πŸΏ, Thank God for the ending of a week and the beginning of a new one. Happy Father's Day by the way. This week I learnt a valuable lesson. 1. If your hope is in God do not be afraid  2. Man can truly disappoint even the ones you looked up to 3. There is victory in Christ. Lately my mood has just been in the blues. I was just functioning based on priorities, pressure and deadlines.  By God's grace the ending of this week helped me understand the points I stated earlier. I was going to undertake a task and I was not looking forward to "my" participation, infact my plan wasn't to be in the main team because I was scared of failing people. I had scantily prepared with the mind that others would be better in a sense. But God had me watch my team losing and used me to begin a comeback. I, who felt I had nothing to offer, pushed my team up all by the Grace of God. When God is interested in you, He starts by teaching you and we're taught that God chastises the ...

True Repentance

Hey πŸ‘‹πŸΏ, True repentance  So this is coming a bit late but I'd already decided what this blog was going to be about since early last week.  True Repentance. In our walk in life, it's inevitable that we offend someone. Now what do we do when we make such errors as Christians? Repent and ask for forgiveness. My last blog post was on watching your words and guess who needed that lesson in the following week.... I had the physical lesson on it during the week and the Holy Spirit laid it so heavily on my spirit to apologise for what I said. I wanted to sweep it off for fear of being misunderstood and fear of being judged.  But I was wrong and I needed to apologise whether I liked it or not. So the Holy Spirit had me out there making restitution.  It's not enough to be sorry, but to actually ask for forgiveness. The Bible lets us know that even if we want to offer an offering we  must first ask for forgiveness from whoever we offended. And it's not just half heartedl...

Must You Talk?

HeyπŸ‘‹πŸΎ, So I was like, hmm let me go and write our blog post of the week and center on God's love when I saw someone typing and His pen name on WhatsApp was MUST YOU TALK? Now let's ask ourselves this question.. I'm going to put a few scriptures somewhere to get the point across as this is a Christian BlogggggπŸŽ€. Sometimes we get into situations where we are unhappy with the way things are going and you know that when you open that mouth in that anger, you will say things that do not please God. "God forgive me, but if I start with you, you will hate me.....", a very common speech that you will hear even in Church. The Bible says be angry but do not sin.  Ephesians 4:26 KJV [26] Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: And it's near impossible to face the object of our anger and instead of letting God our defender to arise in that case, we open our mouths and let whoever is concerned know that, " ...although I'm a Christian...
